    Mary Joyce was born on 26 June 1916 at 2 Milligan Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight to Eilen Amelia (Nellie) BOWBRICK. Her father is believed to have been Arthur Henry TOMASIN for whom her mother worked as a maid.

     

    She married Frederick J BAKER and had five children between 1938 and 1952.
