    Frances, or 'Fanny' as she became known, was baptised on 31 October 1824 at St John's Church Weston-super-Mare. She had been born to Maurice TAYLOR and Rachael CORFIELD. 

    She married Henry COLLIS on 18 October 1844 at St Johns Parish Church, Weston super Mare. She had eight children between 1845 and 1860.

    They lived at 4 The Crescent, Weston super Mare, Somerset at the 1851 census but had moved to 30 High Street by the 1871 census.

    At the time of her daughter Mary Jane's marriage on 5 October 1882, she and moved with Henry and the children to Portsmouth, Hampshire - 24 King's Terrace, Bellevue Terrace, Portsea -  where Henry both owned and operated the 'The Royal Turkish Baths'.

    Frances died on 18 June 1888, 24 King's Terrace, Southsea, Hampshire of Pneumonia.
